Think everybody was aware of that, Personally I think this is a blessing. We might start playing football now instead of kicking hopeless balls up to a striker who is a poor finisher!! Who ever is up front at least we wil be able to play through midfield and players that were under performing will benifit from this as we have techniqually good players.
Vinny in fairness is a good player but of his 9 goals (7 of which v Mervue and Salthill)and has started twice as much as any other stricker at the club, should have more goals than 1 in 14 (i think)(Salthill not inclusive as they are a really only a senior league team). He started well but in recent weeks hasnt cut it and hasnt been dropped but other players have been dropped for less or at least havent been much more dissapointing and some havent even got a fair chance this year. Vinny may even benifit himself from the break and come back fresh and return the early season form but again ive to stress we play better when we play football not hollywood crossfield balls that our winger so clearly hate and struggle to deal with. This is really a managerial problem and should off been sorted after earlier displays such as the athlone home game, Longford Away and Monaghan Away this is where this type of play started and never cut out therefore combined with one or two other factors we have lost form.
I would also like to see players playing in their more favourable position for this game and I bet we will play football and score 3-4 with our strickers benefiting from this suspension!!
I could be wrong bt its an opinion, and we certainly need a change to cement second position and more importantly start playing more fluent confident football which will stand to us if we do reach the play offs. We can almost definitively forget bov winning this league now as its Derrys to throw away.

Spot on. With Vinny now suspended it gives Murphy the perfect opportunity to play in his natural role with an improving WJK. Both of these guys will have an added incentive to work hard and secure their places in the starting XI. Timmy slotting in on the right with Grinny to be used as back up. My only gripe is midfield. Macca is clearly not up to the required level and if we do get Sinnott it would be a huge boost.
and anyway, fuck Cummins. Let him wallow in mediocrity with the Cawkies.

That's the second time you've had that snide little go in recent days. If I didn't know better I might think there was something you wanted to say.
The reason there was no suspensions listed on the preview is that when I did it up this week, in order to get it out to the national media before the deadline set as per our obligations, I had not received any notification of any suspensions. That only came this morning, which would be when I'd be normally posting the preview if we had a Friday match, but which, as it's a Thursday game this week, was too late on this occasion.

You have a strange definition of the word if you think "You mean there's a mistake on the website? Get out of town!" or "You mean they got something wrong?? No way!" are forthright comments.
The bit of the above post that I've highlighted is just plain bizarre, am at a complete loss to know why you believe that, though it does explain a lot.
I think you're well aware that I do the previews.
I got sent the suspension list after it appeared on the site. If I'd got it before, then the Vinny suspension would have been posted up first time, as it happened it was altered as soon as I was informed.

Elsewhere, yes mistakes do get made, typos happen from time to time, and the copy-and-paste process means that on occasion something subsequently altered reverts back to the wrong info the next time. Usually it gets noticed and amended, sometimes not. Fortunately, most people are prepared to accept that, and take the site for what it is. Some can't, c'est la vie.
On behalf of everyone involved, technical and content, cheers _AlcoholicA_, most kind!

MadBlaa do you get some sort of perverse pleasure at being some kind of keyboard warrior windup merchant. All I ever see posted from you is remarks aimed at cutting the back off people or knocking their efforts (done in their own time and for little or no reward). Is it because you haven't been asked to do it you feel the need to bitch and moan or do you just constantly carry that massive chip on your shoulder?????
Hows your much lauded new un-official Twitter btw??????

I'm reconsidering doing the tweets given the whole Dyl thing, as I'm considering a boycott while he's there.
As for keyboard warrior thing, anyone who knows me (including you), knows I'd say it to your face just as easily. I don't hide behind keyboards. And I'm not winding up, if I have a problem with anything, it's always legitimate. And finally, just because someone is doing something for free, doesn't mean it can't be done properly.
